Shannon Court (RMBI Shannoncourt link) is a delightful and tastefully renovated Edwardian country home, which stands in 9 acres of woodland. The grounds are laid out for the enjoyment of residents with a woodland walk, ornamental fishpond and sensory garden.
Shannon Court is able to accommodate 52 residents in centrally heated single en suite rooms that meet or exceed the regulation standard size (10 sq m useable floor space, excluding en suite facilities in single rooms).
Shannon Court provides care for older Freemasons and their dependents. It has a warm, caring, homely atmosphere and operates on a House-group basis providing Residential care in four House-groups for 40 residents.
The fifth House-group is a Dementia Support Unit for residents with dementia; catering for 12 people who need specialist care. This House-group is located in the new part of the Home on the ground floor. Couples have two rooms and can choose whether they use one as a sitting room and one as a bedroom, or both as bedrooms.
Shannon Court does not provide residential nursing care but does provide residential Higher Dependency care.
